Train Detailers Who Are Ready for Live PEB Projects

The Problem

Training on Live Projects Costs More Than It Looks

Errors Reach the Shop Floor

A wrong connection or a missing dimension gets found at fabrication. The fix costs rework, RFIs and days on the schedule.

Seniors Become Trainers

Your most experienced detailers spend their hours teaching the basics, and their own drawings slip.

Commands Aren’t Drawings

A new hire can know Tekla’s tools and still miss what a fabricator needs to see on a drawing.

What They Learn

What Your Team Can Do After 12 Weeks

The whole chain from design drawing to fabrication, practised on a complete PEB building.

  • Read design drawingsPlans, elevations, sections, grid lines, connection details and welding symbols.
  • Model complete PEB buildingsMain frames, purlins, girts, bracing, end walls, openings and building accessories in Tekla.
  • Detail connectionsBolted and welded connections, base plates, splices and bracing, with connection checking.
  • Produce shop drawingsNumbering, then GA, assembly and single-part drawings ready for the workshop.
  • Generate BOMs and reportsMaterial, part, assembly and bolt lists, with NC/DSTV and CNC fabrication concepts.
  • Check their own workModel and drawing QA/QC: profiles, connections, missing or duplicate members, and model-to-drawing consistency.

Who It’s For

Built for Teams That Deliver PEB Projects

PEB Manufacturers

Build an in-house detailing team that can take a building from frames to sheeting and accessories.

Fabricators

Give your engineers the skill to read, check and question drawings before any steel is cut.

Detailing & Engineering Firms

Put graduates through a structured program instead of pulling seniors off billable work.

The program starts from the fundamentals, so it suits new hires and engineers moving into detailing. If your team already works in Tekla, tell us their level and we will say honestly whether it is worth their time.

Why STEEL

Training Built to Show Up in the Work

A Record of Each Person’s Skill

Every trainee earns the STEEL Certificate of Industry-Oriented Training, and the Tekla Authorised Certificate on passing the Tekla Certification Exam.

Assessed on Real Output

Graded throughout on modelling, connections, drawings and BOMs, and a final PEB project, so a certificate reflects work they have done.
